PragmatIC, headquartered in Cambridge, has developed a unique technology platform to produce fully flexible RFID/NFC tags. Current production methods consist of attaching a tiny rigid silicon chip onto an etched antenna. Details about the new production technology are not public and it is not clear which parts are already printed. Target applications for the new printed tag designs are to be found in smart packaging and amusement.
